While Madonna may have famously sung about “Express[ing] Yourself,” the pop icon was less-than-thrilled with one concertgoer’s approach to attending her Celebration tour, admonishing the fan for refusing to stand and watch the show … only to discover they were sitting in a wheelchair.
“What are you doing sitting down over there? What are you doing sitting down?” the “Vogue” singer/plastic surgery cautionary tale said to an attendee during a recent show. Yet upon closer look, Madge discovered that the fan in question had a very good reason to remain seated: They were in a wheelchair.

“Oh, OK. Politically incorrect, sorry about that,” she apologized before telling the fan that she was “glad you’re here.”
While it’s unclear what the wheelchair user in question thought of the now viral interaction, Twitter had a whole lot of opinions on the matter — namely, what in the Glee “Proud Mary” is going on here.

“Who tf cares if someone sits down during a concert if they PAID for tickets,” wrote @kirawontmiss.
“Nvm that shes been around since the 1700s … like obviously some of ur fans will need mobility aids,” added @currenttheejoys.
While we may not be Madonna, we know we’d be hard-pressed to “Live To Tell” this tale.
